Also knows as Sonography or Echography, ultrasounds have been around for over 100 years and are used to view the movement and structure of internal organs or blood vessels in real time. Because it doesn’t use radiation to acquire images, it is a very safe imaging method.
In Cameroon, we are proud to be the first medical center in the region to offer 3D fetal ultrasound excited to be parents. A 3D US gives you a real imaging the fetus throughout pregnancy.

Used to examine the bladder, prostate, uterus, liver, gallbladder, spleen, pancreas, bile ducts, kidneys, and bladder A pelvic ultrasound can diagnose abnormal bleeding, pain, menstrual problems, ovarian cysts, fibroids, enlarged organs, kidney or bladder stones, and cancers in the uterus or ovaries.
This is used to monitor the flow of blood inside blood vessels all over the body (such as neck, heart, abdomen, legs, testicles) and is primarily used to check for blood clots, blockage or narrowing (stenosis) of blood vessels. It can be used to identify patients with an increased risk of a stroke. A carotid and abdominal aorta ultrasound will also identify if an aneurysm is present, which is an abnormal enlargement of the aorta.
